Free email protection tool

Every blogger would like his readers to be able to contact him. The most obvious way is to display your email address on your blog. The problem is that we are all afraid of spam. Spam bots and spam harvesters are crawling the web for users emails to inundate them with tons of stuff they are not interested in. So what's the solution?
Spam bots can only grab email addresses if they are in textual form. What if we could display them in a graphic. Well that would beat those peeping toms. Here are the steps that you need to follow to create a graphic image of your email address for you blog readers;

  • Visit this page
  • The tool is called E-Mail Icon Generator
  • You'll find three text boxes.
  • The first text box is for your user name at the email service provider (the part before the @ symbol).
  • The second drop-down box is for choosing the email service provider. You can choose your email service provider from amongst 25 services like hotmail, yahoo, gmail etc.
  • The third drop-down is supposed to give users a choice but there is no choice since it has only one entry i.e. .com.
  • After you have made your choices, press the generate button.
  • Your email graphic will be displayed.
  • A copy of the image is saved on the nexodyne servers. A link to the saved graphic is provided so you can display it on your blog. Here's the sample of the email icon that I generated for myself.
  • You are also provided a link so that you can save the graphic to your hard disk (in png format).
  • In return nexodyne requests that you place a link to their page so that others may also benefit. (Well what more do you want nexodyne, I wrote a whole article about your service).
  • You may also find some links to other services that nexodyne is offering.
Well thats it folks. Use this service to dodge those email hunters lurking in the dark corners of the internet ready to grab your email addresses.
